- Quality Craftsmanship — We build the part you can’t see properly: compacted gravel bases, proper drainage, and clean cuts on every stone. That’s why our interlocking and retaining walls still look straight years later.
- Local Expertise (Barrie & Simcoe) — We’re a Barrie landscaper working across Simcoe County, so we know the clay soil, the frost line, and each town’s permit rules — and we design for all three.
- Fully Insured & Reliable — GDS carries liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and permits are handled for the jobs that need them. Your property is protected while we work.
- All-in-One Service Provider — Landscaping, interlocking, fences, waterproofing, lighting, fire pits, and interior renovations under one roof. You never juggle five different contractors for one backyard.
- 12 Years in Business — GDS Landscaping and General Contracting has been serving Barrie and Simcoe County homeowners for over a decade, with most of our work coming from repeat customers and referrals.
- Published Pricing — We post our starting prices and a full cost guide on this website — very few landscapers in Barrie do that. You can even run your numbers through our free Cost Calculator before you call.

Burned by a Contractor Before? We Hear It Every Week.
Homeowners call us after jobs that went sideways: no written quote, a crew that vanished mid-project, a patio that heaved after one winter because the base was rushed. We do it differently, and we put it in writing:
- A detailed, line-item quote before work starts — the price we quote is the price you pay unless you change the scope.
- Our own in-house crew on your property, not whoever was available that week.
- Proper base prep and drainage on every build — the invisible work is where patios and walls are won or lost.
- A 4-year limited warranty on workmanship, in writing, on every project.
